May 21, 2025-President of the Interim Adminstration in Tigray discussed with French Ambassador to Ethiopia, Alexis Lamek regarding the crucial role of Implementing Pretoria Peace Agreement for Peace and Stability.
In their meeting, the President expressed grave concern over the ongoing suffering of the displaced community. He warned that unless urgent measures are taken to return displaced populations to their homes swiftly, their hardship will continue to deepen.
Lt.Gen. Tadesse noted that the return of displaced persons and restoration of Tigray’s territorial integrity remains to be central to the implementation of the Agreement and ensure peace and stability in Ethiopia.
The President reiterated his administration’s close engagement with the federal government to address all outstanding issues in accordance with Pretoria Agreement. He urged the French government to actively engage in the implementation efforts.
In response, the French Ambassador pledged to provide all the necessary assistance to ensure peace, stability, and the full implementation of the Peace Agreement.
