Mekelle, August 24, 2022 – Tigrai Television- Tigrai will take all necessary measures for the sake of its existence.
In a statement this afternoon, Tigrai Army’s Military Command says it will take all necessary measures to guarantee the survival and existence of the people of Tigrai.
The Military Command stated that the people and Government of Tigrai have a firm stance that negotiation is the only way out of the current conflict, adding that the Government of Tigrai has given peace a chance even though the people of Tigrai continue to suffer immensely as a result of a brutal siege imposed upon them by the Ethiopian government for more than a year now. “However, it takes the commitment of both sides for peace to be attained” the statement added.
Earlier today, the Military Command had announced that the Ethiopian army along with Amhara Special Forces and Amhara Militia had launched a large-scale offensive around 5 a.m. in the direction of Alamata, Sothern Tigrai.
