Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council says considering the dire humanitarian situation of the people in need in Tigrai the continued suspension of food aid would do more damage than good.
In a statement on Friday, the council reiterated the issue of investigation and accountability for any wrongdoing can be undertaken simultaneously without suspending the delivery of urgent food aid.
Stating that the decision of the aid organizations is understandable and sensible, the council noted it has established the facts from different sources about the commission of the “illicit acts”.
ECSOC also calls for an accountability on the matter.
