Nov 2, 2023 (Tigrai-Television, Mekelle) Cabinet of the Tigray Interim Regional Administration declares Cholera outbreak in Tigray.
The Administration recalled the disease broke out last year in Tigrai in the districts of Raya Azebo, Mokoni, Raya Alamata and Ofla of Southern Tigrai.
The IRA stated there also was cholera outbreak all over the regions in Ethiopia last year.
In today’s discussion the Cabinet declared cholera has been observed in the region.
The IRA added it has established taskforce to fight the outbreak and calls for every Bureau in the region to give due attention.
The administration advised the people to follow developments seriously and stick to government instructions to minimize possible harm.
Earlier today Tigray Health Bureau also stated it has established a task-force to fight the outbreak that it said has been observed in Southern Tigray.
