Mekelle, Jun 30 (Tigrai Television)- Tigrai Interim Regional Administration warns Ethiopia’s Ministry of Education on Friday to fix its constitutional transgression. This comes following Ethiopia’s Ministry of Education report compiled schools in Western, Northwestern, and Southern Tigrai under Amhara Regional State.
The statement from Tigrai Communication Affairs Bureau noted that “the recent report by the ministry proved that the office has become a political tool of a party leaving its responsibilities aside” .
Earlier to the statement, Tigrai IRA President Getachew Reda denounced the report calling the act contempt of the Pretoria Peace Agreement and the constitutional order.
“In light of continued flagrant violations of the Constitution & the Pretoria agreement by the Regional Authorities over the last several months, the latest report by the Federal Ministry of Education is yet another addition to an increasingly dangerous pattern,” he wrote on Twitter.
The statement from the Tigrai Bureau of Communication Affairs also calls the Ministry Office to immediately fix its report and officially apologize for the serious mistake it made. It also calls on the federal government to take necessary measures on the leadership of the ministry office.
