President of the Tigrai Interim Administration Getachew Reda discussed with top managers of CGGC Company on the restart of the formerly interrupted construction of Giba Dam.
In their discussion in Mekelle this morning, the discussants assessed the level of the construction of the dam before the eruption of the war, the damage it faced during the stoppage and the possibilities for a swift restart of the construction of the dam.
The construction of Giba dam was started in 2019, a year before the outbreak of the war, aiming at alleviating the city’s problem of potable water.
