According to our reporter Helen Weldeyohans, the former federal and regional high-ranking officials say the release is “a second chance to serve the people again”
The Ministry of Justice stated in a statement on Thursday that the release was in line with the Permanent Cessation of Hostilities Agreement signed in Pretoria on the 2nd of November 2022 that stipulates the termination of criminal charges.

It is to be recalled that the Federal prosecutor has charged 62 active members and veterans of TPLF in July of 2021 under the file of Debretsion Gebremichael (Ph.D.) who has chaired TPLF since 2018.
