United Nations Sexual & Reproductive Health Agency donated vital medical supplies including 7 anaesthesia machines & 15 portable ultrasound scanners as well as other essential equipments.
Speaking during the handover ceremony this afternoon, UNFPA Humanitarian Division Director Ms. Shako Arakaki pledged that UNFPA will continue to support the health system in Tigrai especially on the reproductive needs of mothers.
Dr. Amanuel Haile, head for regional Heath Bureau, on his behalf appreciated UNFPA’s donation and called on other donors to follow the commitment.
“If there is a time Tigrai needs help, it is now” Dr Amanuel underscores.
These items that include 10 physician scales, 2 fatal doppler, 1 resuscitation table as well as 4 neonatal anesthesia gas scavenging system(NASGs) and dignity kits are expected to be distributed to 21 health facilities across the #Tigray.
