Mekelle, December 31, 2022 – Tigrai Television – Wegagen Bank Mekelle District announced it will resume banking service starting from Monday.
In an interview with Tigrai Television this morning, the Director of Wegagen Bank Mekelle District Haftom Gebregzabher said the bank will resume banking service after 18 months of blockade.
According to him, the bank finished preparations to resume service on the coming Monday, January 2, 2023.Yohannes Assefa, Deputy Director of the District, on his part stated that there is a cash deficit in Wegagen Bank branches and called upon the federal government to ensure free cash flow to banks in Tigrai.
