Mekelle, Aug. 31 (Tigrai Television) – Tigrai is always committed to peace: General Tadesse Werede.
Briefing the Media today, Tigrai Defense Forces’ Chief, General Tadesse Worede said his forces will always be committed to peace.
The General said ‘Peace is in the best interest of the people of Tigrai’ while stressing that his forces will do whatever it takes to ensure the safety and security of the people of Tigrai.
General Tadesse said the recent counteroffensive on the Southern front was taken to force the Ethiopian government to come to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
The Commander in Chief added that Ethiopian Forces along with Eritrean Forces have planned to launch another large-scale offensive in the direction of Sheraro, Northwestern Tigrai.
He also said that the Ethiopian Army along with Amhara Special Forces and Amhara Militia has already started an offensive in the direction of Sekota to penetrate into the Center of Tigrai.
