As the third year anniversary of the war on Tigray approaches, Tigray Opposition Salsay Weyane Tigrai (SaWeT) issues a statement, demanding the return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the restoration of Tigrian territories.

The party said it remembers the long-suffered IDPs, victims of sexual violence, and all Tigrayans affected by a “genocidal war” as it marks the third year anniversary of the war that has taken the lives of hundred thousands.

SaWeT highlights the date ‘November 4’ as a day when Ethiopian, Eritrean, and Amhara forces engaged in a genocidal war violating international laws and domestic legislation.

The party pledges to persist in its fight until accountability for the perpetrators and justice for Tigrayan victims are secured.
